Bring me Sunshine
I write a lot about childhood and popular culture. As a child of the 70s, I am part of the generation who watched Saturday night telly as a family. Entertainers like Morecambe and Wise and Sir Bruce Forsyth are symbols of that era. Even during the Winter of Discontent, even when we squabbled and despaired, we still had laughter. I've learnt that even when you are writing about the darkest of subject matters, you can still use humour. You can still smile at this crazy world.
